Recap: INFLCR, one of the first brand-building platforms geared towards collegiate athletes, partnered with the Saint Louis University athletic department and will be utilized by over 400 of their athletes. INFLCR’s app is currently utilized daily by over 800 NCAA teams and more than 30,000 athletes.

Observations: It’s great to see that athletic departments are already investing in their athletes and their brand development, even if they have somewhat different motives. Saint Louis recognizes that their athletes posting content to their personal accounts will bring more eyes to the athletic department and university overall, which may boost event attendance, recruiting, fundraising, and other goals. With NIL legislation rather inevitable, it seems like a “win-win” for athletic departments to invest to educate their athletes around NIL.

  • Check-in with your coach and/or athletic department to see if there is any discussion around providing a similar service for the teams at your school. If there are discussions, make sure to ask whether they’re looking at a “department-wide” partnership or solely for the profit-generating sports.

Saint Louis University and INFLCR are launching a 5-year, department-wide agreement that will empower Billikens student-athletes with content to build their personal brands on social media.

“We are excited to partner with INFLCR and provide this fantastic service to our more than 400 student-athletes,” SLU Director of Athletics Chris May said.

“It is important that we help our student-athletes as they build their brand, and INFLCR helps us achieve that goal by providing them with the content they need to help tell their stories.” 

Saint Louis student-athletes, coaches, staff and other brand ambassadors for the Billikens’ NCAA varsity sports will gain access to thousands of photos, videos and graphics produced by SLU Athletics and delivered through the INFLCR software and mobile app, to share on their personal social-media channels.
