TITLE: University NIL Partner Services Manager (On Campus)
REPORTS TO: University NIL General Manager (On Campus)
LOCATION: Cincinnati, Ohio. Please see anticipated designation below.

Purpose: The University NIL Partner Services Manager (On Campus) (the “PSM”) is responsible for prospecting newly engaged donors, brands and external stakeholders for business opportunities at the designated university (see below). Additionally, the PSM will generate new materials and resources to procure new athlete marketing opportunities including but not limited to: donor engagements, athlete appearances, traditional endorsements, and in-kind deals with national, regional, and local brands and at the direction of the General Manager. This position will be responsible for building, tracking and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and brands in order to maximize the NIL efforts for the designated university and its athletes, coaches, staff, and recruits. This position is further responsible for ensuring world-class service is delivered for optimal outcomes through successful adoption of Altius’s current and future offerings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities — External Partnerships:

  • Engage and collaborate with all external revenue partners including but not limited to, local businesses, sponsors, donors, and UCATS staff members.
  • Serve as the liaison for NIL external engagement for the UC department with a focus on new business, outbound engagement, prospecting and reaching out to fans, donors, local businesses, and potential partners in the Cincinnati network.
  • Manage the sale cycle process with engaged businesses through research, cold-calling, appointments, networking, and other final sales processes.
  • Regularly call, email and in-person correspondence to build relationships with UC donors, fans, and prospective donors on how to support the current and future of UC athletics.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of how brands are engaging with collegiate athletes, including knowledge of deal type, scope, trends, and market value
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of NIL to learn athlete interests and relevant information to support NIL opportunities.
  • Development and maintain business opportunities for the Cincinnati Marketplace with various stakeholders (e.g., UCATS Members, alumni networks, chamber of commerce, local community, third-party constituents).
  • Assist in planning and hosting external events and collaborate with University and athletics partners by creating unique revenue generation opportunities, as needed.
  • Contribute to the CRM database system of external constituents and their engagement with UC Athletics Department.
  • Adapt role to maximize opportunities as a result of evolving changes in UC Athletics, NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Regularly participate in Altius meetings and discussions regarding evolving trends in collegiate athletics and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the NIL regulatory and compliance landscape, including but not limited to status of federal, state, and NCAA proposals and laws.
  • Provide regular reports to University NIL General Manager and internal Altius team.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality, both within organization, University and other external entities
Designation: It is anticipated that this position will be designated to the University of Cincinnati (UC).  Further, it is expected that this role will require the individual to provide the majority of duties and responsibilities on the designated university’s campus and/or within its facilities.
