What we want

The Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, under general direction, manages and maintains programs in support of athletics. Reporting to the Deputy Athletics Director of Administration and Student-Athlete Experience, the Assistant/Associate Athletics Director of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) is responsible for the leadership and oversight of all operations surrounding Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) programming at Texas A&M Athletics. Position details: Employees Supervised - Supervises NIL Program and employees

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of athletic administration experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • General knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership - Leads the Texas A&M Athletics NIL program, to conceptualize and coordinate programming and resources. Monitors NIL activity reporting and data management. Oversees strategic partnerships and resources and maintains administrative oversight for NIL program. Oversees NIL program landing page, social media platforms, marketing and communications strategies, and digital content development to promote NIL program initiatives, programming. Oversees the processing and management of student-athlete NIL opportunities to ensure NCAA, SEC, and institutional compliance. Oversees the implementation of a comprehensive annual NIL education program for prospective student-athletes, parents, current student-athletes, coaches, internal and external stakeholders. Remains up to date on the latest NIL trends, including legislative advancements, NCAA compliance regulations, and vendor landscape evolutions.
  • NIL Liaison - Serves as the liaison on all NIL-related matters between all relevant university stakeholders. Serves as primary NIL contact for internal and external stakeholders including student-athletes, coaches, staff, third party individuals, and local businesses in accordance with applicable university, state, federal and NCAA guidelines.
  • Collaboration - Collaborates on NIL initiatives and cross-department functions with other Texas A&M Athletics units including but not limited to; compliance, student-athlete development, 12th Man Production, marketing, and 12th Man Creative. Serves as the primary contact for external university NIL partners supporting NIL operations.
  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised. Performs other duties as assigned.
